Pandemonium is the twelfth episode of the first series of The Animals of Farthing Wood. It was originally broadcast in the UK on 24 March 1993.
Plot[]
The animals enter a town and a storm begins. The smaller animals struggle to cope with the heavy rain and Adder is nearly washed down a drain but Whistler saves her in the nick of time. Fox suggests that they head for the church but when they arrive they discover that the porch has collapsed, leaving them without shelter. Mole finds a hole in the church wall and the animals go inside to shelter from the storm. While inside Toad tells the other animals all about White Deer Park.
The animals awake the next morning to find a bricklayer filling in the hole in the wall, meaning they are trapped in the church. Fox tells the others that they will have to wait for the humans to open the doors. Shortly the doors open and a wedding party enters the church. As the organ begins to play the fieldmice are startled and run out of the church. This causes pandemonium as the other animals panic and start running around all over the place. They all head for the church doors, startling the wedding guests as they do so. In the chaos, Mole falls off of Badger's back and lands on Vixen, who carries him out of the church.
As the animals escape from the church they run in all directions and soon become separated. Fox, Vixen, Toad, Mole, Owl, Kestrel, Whistler, the hares and the baby rabbit soon come to a stop and realize that they have lost the other animals.
